More than just a space, The MEWS+ is the first stop for those with big ideas, for entrepreneurs looking for mentoring and support, and for small business owners seeking guidance to grow. We aim to encourage, support, and sustain the Middlesex County startup ecosystem, and the region’s economic vitality.
Located on the second floor of the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce offices, The MEWS+ is a great space to have day or week-long company meetings – the large open Zoom-room has a layout easily adjusted to accommodate up to 12 people, and the conference room with the smart TV can seat six to eight. Wireless printer/copier, coffee maker, refrigerator, and the location all make meeting at The MEWS+ a great spot for collaboration.
Our mission – as a program of the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce – is to provide educational opportunities, mentoring, and workspace to help entrepreneurs, startups, and small businesses achieve their full potential.
Through business-enhancing connections, shared experiences, and collaborative learning, the MEWS+ strives to be the catalyst for a healthy start-up ecosystem in Middletown and Middlesex County, Connecticut.
Our vision is to be a trusted resource for the entrepreneur, startup founder, and small business owner – and to provide support through every stage of their venture – and to see our member companies grow, creating jobs and driving economic abundance for the community.
In addition to her role as the Principal of INQ Creative in Chester, Rebecca works with the Chamber to create and implement The MEWS+ strategy and promote the organization’s activities – including workshops and networking events, the StartUpMx and GrowMX programs, and PitchMX – The MEWS+ signature pitch competition.
The MEWS+ Hive Community is a one-of-a-kind membership community for smart, dynamic entrepreneurs, start-up founders, home-based business owners, and creatives go to get mentorship, training, resources, connections, and the kind of support needed to create strong sustainable businesses.
