PitchMX:

StartUpMX Incubator Program

May 26, 2021  7:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Virtual

“Graduation” Pitch

The MEWS+ StartUpMX incubator is a collaboration between The MEWS+, The Middlesex Chamber of CommerceCTNext, and a host of local resources and business leaders.  The ten-week course assists entrepreneurs to refine their business ideas, learn fundamental business concepts, and work through the initial stages of their business.

The program includes a workshop series with topics including business strategy, finance, legal, marketing, technology and productivity, and wellness and personal development. The program also includes mentoring from The MEWS+ network for goal setting and accountability, technical assistance, and the opportunity to pitch in front of community members through a graduation pitch event.

Each of the entrepreneurs who pitched put in a tremendous amount of time and effort into their business plans and their pitch, and welcomed challenging and constructive feedback – as well as opportunities to make new connections with you – their business community here in Middlesex County, and across Connecticut.

Following the pitches, the audience voted for the pitch that presented the most original business idea, had the most long-term potential, provided a useful solution to a real problem, and made a social impact.

Congratulations!

Congratulations to James Cant of Local Business Protection, LLC on being voted audience favorite!

Jaxhen’s Clothing for Small Dogs

Cecile Simon

I like fashion. I even feel better when I’m wearing something I like, but I’m no fool for it. We small dogs need to wear clothes because our little bodies get chilled easily in cool weather and in places that are air-conditioned. This can lead to having a little cold to pneumonia or hypothermia. Clothes can also help to keep small dogs’ from overheating in hot weather and protect the skin from allergens.

Jaxhen’s Clothing for Small Dogs has apparel that is made from 100% cotton and will keep all my fellow small dogs comfortably dressed, and looking good!
