The MEWS+ Leads Group is a networking community of professionals in the greater Middlesex County region focused on building relationships, sharing knowledge, developing and exchanging referrals, and supporting members to achieve their business goals.
The MEWS+ Leads Group is a non-competitive professional group with a respectful and engaging environment where our members and guests build relationships built on trust, commitment, and community.
Our monthly business meetings are held virtually on the second Tuesday of the month from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. and are focused on learning more about member businesses, and generating and sharing referrals.
Our in-person social events allow us to get to know each other better as people – forging friendships and strengthening the network.
For the past ten years, Kathryn has been a Healthcare Benefit Consultant priding herself on providing unexpected customer service and educating her clients on the need for and the benefits of insurance. Kathryn is passionate about working with small businesses to protect their employees and families through medical, dental, vision, short term disability, life, accident, cancer, and specified disease insurance policies, and is licensed in sixteen states, including much of New England and the Mid-Atlantic area.
When not guiding business owners on smart insurance decisions, Kathryn can be found competing in triathlons, Spartan Races, and scuba diving.
Sarah is a CPA licensed in Connecticut, with 20 years of experience in the profession. She runs a virtual tax practice specializing primarily in individual and small business tax returns. With processes and tools in place, she makes the tax preparation process easier on the client. The client portal streamlines the process, document sharing and communication, and is user friendly/intuitive. Her practice can handle all related state returns needed based on residency and/or income earned in multiple states.
With clients throughout the US as well as overseas, all enjoy personalized attention from an experienced professional.
As the Manager of Business Development & Operations, Jason manages the organization’s day-to-day operations and is responsible for creating, implementing, and managing sales and marketing initiatives. To build customer engagement, Jason has authored numerous white-papers, blog posts, and articles, and utilizes his expertise in social media marketing and client engagement to increase Endecom’s market share.
Walt is the owner of Walt Jedziniak Photography in East Hampton, Connecticut. A portrait studio that takes pride in providing unique experiences for clients and creating the perfect products for them to capture and preserve precious family memories.
Walt specializes in families, high school seniors, corporate headshots, pet photography, maternity portraits, modeling portfolios, and boudoir.
Ms. McKinley-Bell is the Principal Consultant for Shoreline HR Consulting and has been a HR Executive, Manager and Entrepreneur for over 30 years. She achieved a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from SUNY Plattsburgh and holds a Master’s in Business Administration and an Advanced Certificate in Not-for-Profit Management from UCONN. She is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) and is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). Ms. McKinley-Bell is also certified by the Human Resources Certification Institute as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
Shoreline HR Consulting, established in May 2019, specializes in assisting small and medium-sized employers on the full spectrum of Human Resources needs, from Onboarding, Compensation, Performance, Conduct and Conflict Management and Workplace Investigations to Employment Law Compliance, Employee Handbooks and Employee Relations. Employers receive the benefits of a full-service Human Resources Department without the ongoing costs.
Rebecca Mead is the Principal at INQ Creative, a full service, integrated agency specializing in strategy, marketing, content, code, and creative for non-profit organizations, professional services businesses, and professional associations.
Vincent (“Vin”) Merola is an associate at Murtha Cullina LLP and a member of the Business and Finance Department, the Privately Owned Business Group and the Emerging Companies Group. He represents a wide range of clients from startups to mid-sized companies. Vin is a transactional attorney, handling mergers, acquisitions, re-organizations and other commercial transactions. He also has extensive experience negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements. Vin has also advised various franchisors with respect to brand growth and development on a global scale as well as mitigating associated risks.
Previously, Vin served as Lead Counsel – Corporate Governance at Subway World Headquarters. During his tenure at Subway, Vin focused on corporate governance and compliance, working on high impact projects, including corporate re-organization of the brand’s entity portfolio, overseeing third party due diligence, records retention and electronic signature compliance on a global scale. Vin’s hobbies include golfing, kayaking, hiking and comic collecting.
